Credit Counselling

February 3, 2020

When you make an assignment into bankruptcy, or file a consumer proposal, you are required to attend at two credit counselling sessions.  The idea is to help with understanding budgeting and money management as well as how better manage credit and debt.

The credit counselling sessions can only help you as much as you want to be helped.  While they are obligatory to attend it is entirely up to each individual to determine how much benefit they will gain from attendance.   Like with anything else in life, the more you practice the better you will get.

The Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy has set up some training modules that can easily be accessed by clicking this link we would encourage you, cleient or otherwise, to take a few minutes and check out the information.
