Dealing with rude collectors

November 8, 2017

You have bills and your creditors have a right to collect overdue accounts. But they must stay within the constraints of the law. You also have rights which are set out here.

One way of dealing with rude collectors is to download the problem to our office by opening a file to resolve your debts – we will deal with them for you.

Another way is to file an official complaint to the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Before you do that write a letter to the collection agency outlining what you believe they are doing or saying that is inappropriate.
